REDS Timber Flooring has been installing solid wood floors since the early 1990’s. Whilst many changes have happened in this industry to improve the installations of solid timber floors, there are certain skills and requirements that have always been engaged.
Firstly, all floors are surveyed to ensure level, within A/S guidelines and suitable for fixing a timber floor to.
Secondly, all floors to be bonded over a concrete sub-straight will have a moisture barrier applied, no exceptions. This ensures for the future stability of your new timber floor by restricting moisture evaporation or ingress by creating a seal from the bottom and the top of your timber flooring.
Thirdly, acclimatisation, REDS Timber Flooring has chosen to install the timber floors when first delivered and then leave for approx. 2 weeks, to acclimatise in situ. This has always given us the best results and the most stable floors.
